Copyright & DMCA Policy
Clevaly respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the platform to do the same. This policy explains how copyright complaints are handled and how copyright owners may request removal of infringing content.

1. Respect for intellectual property
Users must only upload, share, generate, or distribute content they:
- Own;
- Have permission to use; or
- Are otherwise legally authorized to upload or distribute.
Users are solely responsible for the content they upload, store, generate, or share through Clevaly.
2. Copyright infringement
Clevaly prohibits the use of the platform to infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Examples may include:
- Unauthorized textbook uploads;
- Copyrighted course materials uploaded without permission;
- Licensed educational resources shared without authorization;
- Reproduction of copyrighted works without legal rights.
3. Reporting copyright infringement
If you believe that content available through Clevaly infringes your copyright, you may submit a written copyright notice containing:
- Your full name;
- Your contact information;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized;
- A statement that the information provided is accurate;
- A statement that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Copyright notices should be sent to dmca@clevaly.io with the subject line: Copyright Complaint.
4. Content removal
Upon receiving a valid copyright complaint, Clevaly may:
- Remove the reported content;
- Restrict access to the content;
- Disable sharing of the content;
- Suspend associated accounts if appropriate.
We reserve the right to investigate complaints before taking action.
5. Repeat infringers
Users who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights may have their accounts suspended, restricted, or permanently terminated. Clevaly reserves sole discretion in determining repeat infringement.
6. Educational materials
Many users upload educational materials such as lecture slides, class notes, study guides, academic resources, and course documents.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to upload and use such materials. The existence of educational content does not automatically grant permission for redistribution or public sharing.
7. Publicly shared content
Users who choose to make study materials publicly available are responsible for ensuring the content does not violate copyright law, that they possess necessary rights or permissions, and that the content may legally be shared with others.
Clevaly is not responsible for rights users do not possess.
8. AI-generated content
AI-generated outputs may incorporate information derived from user-provided materials. Users remain responsible for ensuring their use of generated content complies with applicable intellectual property laws.
Clevaly does not claim ownership of user-uploaded content.
9. Limitation of liability
Clevaly acts as a platform provider and does not actively review every uploaded document, study set, note, flashcard, or generated output. To the extent permitted by law, Clevaly is not liable for user-generated content or materials uploaded by users.
10. Policy updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Clevaly after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
