The short version

Clevaly was started by Favour, a student in Alberta, Canada, out of his own messy week: classes, deadlines, lecture slides in a downloads folder, and not enough hours. Every tool he used was fine on its own. The gaps between them were where the time went.

The idea is small. Everything belongs to a class, and every class belongs to a term. Once that is true, the syllabus becomes topics and exam dates, course files land where they belong, a study set knows which lecture it is about, and Cleva knows what is due this week without being told.

What we believe

• Show the real product. One clear screen beats a pile of mockups. Everything on this site is the app as it ships.
• The school day is connected. Flashcards are one part of a system, not the product. Clevaly is not trying to be a better Quizlet.
• Mobile and web are equal. Start on your phone between classes, finish on your laptop. Same workspace, same progress.
• AI helps you learn; it does not do the learning. Cleva works from your material, tells you where things came from, and is built to coach rather than to hand over answers.
• Your data is yours. Course files are not used to train models, connections to your school are read-only, and you can delete everything in one step. See Security.

Where things stand

Clevaly is in public beta. The iOS and Android apps and the web app share one account. Moodle, Canvas and Brightspace sync course material, a browser extension imports from any Moodle page, and any MCP-capable assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT can connect to your workspace. The changelog tracks what ships.
