The Chrome extension deepens the sync: it detects when you're on your Moodle course page and can import topics, sweep for terms, and capture pages or videos in real time.

Generate a token in Canvas → Account → Settings → New Access Token. You can revoke it any time from the same page.

Brightspace

Browser extension

Capture content as you browse your course site.

The Clevaly Chrome extension opens as a side panel in your browser and follows the page you are on. It works alongside your LMS connection to deepen the sync and lets you capture material in real time.

What the extension does

  • Detects your active Moodle course page and offers instant import
  • Sweeps course pages for key terms to add to your sets
  • Captures the current page, PDF, or video into a class
  • Shows upcoming deadlines and schedule in a side panel while you work

Connecting Moodle

Three steps: open Moodle, copy the link, paste it in.

Clevaly needs one thing from you: the address of your school's Moodle. You already have it, it is in the address bar every time you open your courses.

    Open your Moodle home page

    Sign in to Moodle the way you always do and land on your home page: the dashboard or My courses, where your courses are listed.

    On your laptopIn your browser, open Moodle and sign in.

    Copy the link

    The address bar shows your school's course site. Copy that link. The whole thing is fine; Clevaly keeps the part it needs.

    On your phoneTap the address bar at the bottom of Safari, then tap Copy.
    On your laptopClick the address bar, then press ⌘C or Ctrl+C.

    Paste it into Clevaly and sign in

    In Clevaly go to Settings → Integrations, pick Moodle, paste the link into the site URL field and tap Sign in. Your school's usual login opens, and when it finishes you are connected.

    On your phoneDuring onboarding, or later in Settings → Integrations: paste, then Sign in with Moodle.
    On your laptopSettings → Integrations → Moodle → paste → Sign in with your school.

Canvas and Brightspace work the same way for the address. Canvas also asks for a personal access token from Account → Settings; Brightspace opens your institution's sign-in.

Your account stays yours

You sign in with your usual school account.

Clevaly opens your institution's normal sign-in flow and never stores your school password. For Canvas, a personal access token is used — you can revoke it from Canvas at any time.

School not listed?

Tell us so the next student doesn't have to hunt.

If the URL we filled in is wrong, the connection failed, or your school uses a different platform, send a report. One note is enough for everyone at your school — we add Moodle, Canvas and Brightspace sites to the shared list, and we track other platforms as we expand.

Not sure which link? Any Moodle page will do.

Copy the address from any page inside your Moodle, a course, the dashboard, your profile, and paste it in. Clevaly trims it to the site and finds the sign-in page. If your school is set in your profile, the field is usually filled in already. Same idea for Canvas and Brightspace.
