Sessions and terms

Keep each semester separate. Sessions decide which classes show on Home, in Library and in Create.

A session is a school term: Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and so on. Classes belong to a session, and Home, Library and the Create hub show only the active session. That is what keeps last semester's classes from cluttering this one.

Create a session

  1. Open Sessions and choose New session.
  2. Pick Fall, Spring, Summer or Winter and the year. Clevaly pre-fills typical dates (Fall runs late August to late December, for example). Adjust them to match your school.
  3. Optionally add your school. It helps timetable import and course-site matching.
  4. Save and set it active.

Status

  • Active — in progress. The one everything filters by.
  • Upcoming — starts in a number of days.
  • Ended — completed and archived.

Switching terms

When a new term starts, create it and make it active. The old one is archived as academic history, not deleted: its classes, sets and notes remain searchable and openable. You can also import a timetable straight from the Sessions page to populate the new term.
