Syllabus, exams and course dates
Upload a syllabus PDF and let Clevaly extract exam dates, assessments, weekly topics and instructor details.

Uploading a syllabus is the single most useful thing you can do for a class. It gives Clevaly the dates and topics that drive the upcoming widgets, Cleva check-ins before exams, and the topic structure files are filed into.
Upload
- Open the class and choose Add your syllabus on the Syllabus tab.
- Upload the PDF (up to 7 MB).
- Parsing runs in the background. Come back in a moment or keep working.
What gets extracted
- Course code, instructor, office hours and prerequisites.
- Assessments with their weights, so you can see what counts.
- Exam dates, key dates and no-class days.
- The weekly plan. Each week or chapter becomes a topic in the class.
- Meeting times, which fill the class schedule if it was empty.
Fix or add dates
Anything the parser missed or got wrong can be edited on the Syllabus tab. You can add an exam or key date by hand at any time. Deadlines imported from Moodle by the browser extension land here too.
