AI content, accuracy and academic integrity
Generated content can be wrong. How to check it, what Clevaly does with your material, and staying within your school's rules.
Flashcards, notes, cheat sheets, podcasts, tests and Cleva's answers are generated by AI from the material you provide. They are usually right and occasionally confidently wrong.
Check before you rely on it
- Skim generated terms against the source once. Fix anything off in the editor; your edits stick.
- Treat cheat sheets as a starting point and compare formulas with your textbook.
- Ask Cleva where in the material something comes from if an answer surprises you.
Your material
Files you upload are used to generate content for you and are indexed so Cleva can search them. They are not used to train models. Course files stay in your class library and can be deleted at any time. Full details are in the AI content policy and the privacy policy.
Academic integrity
You are responsible for how you use generated content. Many schools allow AI for studying but not for submitted work. When in doubt, ask your instructor, and tell Cleva in its instructions to coach rather than answer. See Personalize how Cleva helps.
Report a problem
If Cleva produces something harmful or clearly wrong, use the report option in the chat or email support with a screenshot. It helps us improve the guardrails.
