What Cleva can do
Ask questions from inside a class or set, get explanations and examples, and have Cleva create real study sets for you.
Cleva is the assistant built into the workspace. Unlike a general chatbot it already knows your term, timetable, syllabus dates, open assignments, sets, notes and progress, so you can ask without pasting context first.
Where to find it
- Assistant on the web, or the Cleva button in the mobile app, for a general conversation.
- Ask Cleva about this set on any set page. This opens a thread scoped to that set and its material.
- Ask Cleva about this class on a class Home.
Threads are kept separately per scope, so switching to a set does not lose your general conversation. Start a new chat any time and come back to old ones from the thread list.

- “Explain the difference between the two terms I keep mixing up in this set.”
- “What do I have due this week and what should I start first?”
- “Give me three practice questions on chapter 4 with answers.”
- “Summarize the lecture slides in the Week 6 topic.”
- “Make a flashcard set for the key terms in this PDF.”
Cleva can create sets
When you ask for flashcards or practice questions, Cleva creates a real study set in the class, with distractors ready for Test and Learn, and links it in the reply. Practice questions open directly in Test mode.
Limits
Each plan includes a number of assistant messages per month, separate from study actions. Free accounts get 20; Student and Pro get far more and faster responses. See Plans and pricing.
